BB KING.
Throughout the 1990's as well as the 1980's, 1970's, 1960's and 1950's, there has been only one King of the Blues - Riley B. King, affectionately known as B.B. King. Since B.B. started recording in the late 1940's, he has released over 5O albums -- many of them considered blues classics. His reign as King of the Blues has been as long as that of any monarch on earth. Yet B.B. King continues to wear his crown well. He is still light on his feet, singing and playing the blues with relentless passion. Time has no apparent effect on B.B., other than to make him more popular, more cherished, more relevant than ever. Don't look for him in some kind of semi-retirement; look for him out on the road, playing for people, popping up in a myriad of T.V. commercials, or laying down tracks for his next album. B.B. King is as alive as the music he plays, and a grateful world can't get enough of him.

Chaka Khan.
Chaka Khan Say the name "Chaka" and most folks in the know instantly think of a woman who has made an indelible and lasting impression on the music scene of the past three decades. First, as the lead singer of the massively successful R&B, funk and pop band Rufus, then as a solo artist in her own right who has influenced an entire generation of female vocalists. Like Aretha, like Joni, like Tina, a first name will do. For there's only one Chaka, woman of fire, possessed of a powerhouse, unforgettably distinctive trademark vocal style who sings with unrelenting passion, honest emotion and authenticity; no matter what the song, you can count on Chaka to deliver with realness, every time. An eight-time Grammy winner, Chaka Khan can truly claim the title "renaissance woman." Her distinctive vocal style has influenced and impacted a whole generation of contemporary artists and her commitment as a humanitarian and philanthropist has continued to thrive through the work of her own Chaka Khan Foundation.

Dire straits.
Dire Straits were a British rock band, formed by Mark Knopfler, David Knopfler, John Illsley, and Pick Withers. Although the band was formed in an era when punk rock was at the forefront, Dire Straits played a more bluesy style, albeit with a stripped-down sound that appealed to audiences weary of the overproduced stadium rock of the 1970s. Dire Straits soon became hugely successful, with their first album going multi-platinum globally. The band's best-known songs include Sultans of Swing, Money for Nothing, Brothers in Arms, Walk of Life, So Far Away, Romeo and Juliet, and Tunnel of Love. Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler have sold in excess of 120 million albums to date.

Ramazzotti is enormously popular in Italy, and is well known in most non-English-speaking European countries and in the Spanish-speaking world, as he has released most of his albums in both Italian and Spanish. Ramazzotti has sold over 40 million records in his 25-year career. He first gained international success in 1993, with the release of Tutte storie, which amassed six million album sales and occupied the top five in every country where he had previously released albums. This success led to a BMG International record contract in 1994. His audience appeal comes from several factors, including his unique voice, which can be described as somewhat nasal but nevertheless forceful and resonant, and his energetic delivery of catchy, melodic tunes which are often passionate mid-tempo autobiographical ballads, with instrumentation that is rich in soft-rock influence.

Mary Jane Bridge.
Mary Jane Blige is a Grammy award winning singer, rapper, model and actress. She released her debut album, What's The 411 to critical acclaim, and has since released eight more chart topping albums. When her debut album, What's the 411, hit the street, critics and fans alike were mesmerized by its powerful combination of her modern R&B rendition of the classic soul aesthetic; also mixed with an edgy rap sound that glanced off of the pain and grit of Mary J. Blige's childhood. Called alternately the new Chaka Khan or new Aretha Franklin, Blige had little in common stylistically with either of those artists, but like them, she helped adorn soul music with new textures and flavors that inspired a whole generation of musicians. She would quickly be crowned "the Queen of Hip Hop-Soul"; leaving Aretha the title "Queen of Soul". Blige's title reflecting both her powerful soul vocals, and added Hip Hop flavor.

Missy Eliot.
Missy Elliott first tried to break into the hip hop field, writing and rapping with the group Sista. The group fell apart without releasing a record, and Elliott had a few lean years before a demo tape got her songwriting talents noticed. All at once, seemingly, she was writing smash hip hop/R&B hits (for Aaliyah, SWV, Ginuwine, Jodeci, Adina Howard, and others), grabbing the spotlight with memorable guest appearances (Gina Thompson's The Things You Do"), and then dropping her own solo album Supa Dupa Fly featuring the hit single "The Rain," with a bizarre award-nominated video. Hype aside, Elliott has made her mark as a sharp, insightful, hilarious lyricist, and a warm, infectiously cheerful performer: no matter what she's rapping about, she'll bring a smile to your face. No one talks about this, but she also has a lovely singing voice when she decides to use it. Elliott's most successful work has been with producer Timbaland, whose tight beats and spare, funky keyboard lines have inspired a legion of imita

Michael Buble' .
Buble's style is reminiscent of the great singers of the past. Indeed, one can hear strains of Bobby Darin and Frank Sinatra in his songs. He, however has not pigeonholed his singing to the old standards of his grandparents. His show also sprinkles in some modern tunes as well, including Kissing A Fool, Moondance and Crazy Little Thing Called Love. Other tunes to listen for in his shows include Mack The Knife, The Way You Look Tonight and All Of Me. Michael Buble found worldwide success with his album It's Time, and his album Call Me Irresponsible was an even bigger success, reaching number one on the Canadian Albums Chart, and the US Billboard 200 chart. Michael Buble's first album reached the top ten in Lebanon, the UK and Canada. Michael Buble has won several awards, including two Grammy Awards and multiple Juno Awards. Michael Buble has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide.
